Al-Mahwit Begins Distribution of 7,000 Food Baskets to Needy Families

Al-Mahwit:An emergency food basket distribution project was initiated in Al-Mahwit governorate, with the goal of providing assistance to poor and needy families throughout the region.

According to Yemen News Agency, the initiative is being executed by the Yemen Inma Development Foundation and aims to distribute 7,000 food baskets across various districts within the governorate.

During the launch event, Mohammed Al-Qarm, the governorate undersecretary, highlighted the project as a reflection of the state's dedication to supporting poor and vulnerable families. He stressed the significance of fostering social solidarity and cooperation to help alleviate the hardships faced by these communities.

Deputy Mobilization Officer Amer Al-Aqhumi called upon businesspeople and philanthropists to continue their support for these families. He urged increased contributions to humanitarian and social solidarity initiatives, which are essential in improving the living standards of citizens.

Al-Aqhumi also emphasized the importance of uniting community efforts and nurturing a spirit of solidarity and compassion. This, he noted, is crucial to ensuring that aid reaches those in need and to strengthening the role of humanitarian initiatives in supporting vulnerable families.
