Al-mahwit: Government offices and institutions in the Al-Mahwit governorate organized a cultural and ceremonial event to celebrate the anniversary of Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him and his family) birth for the year 1447 AH. The Local Corporation for Water and Sanitation, the Al-Mahwit Electricity Zone, and several other local offices participated in the event.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by Deputy Governors Abdulsalam Al-Dhamari and Hussein Arqadh. Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Qutmah emphasized that celebrating the Prophet's birth serves as an expression of loyalty and gratitude to the Prophet. He highlighted that the occasion symbolizes the deep connection of Yemenis to their Prophet and their resolve to follow his teachings in the face of tyranny and arrogance.
Ahmed Al-Qutmah further stated that the anniversary serves as a spiritual moment to reinforce dignity, pride, and awareness, encouraging Yemenis to emulate the Prophet. He affirmed that the Yemeni people celebrate this significant event with a steadfast commitment to their principles, supporting the causes of the Muslim Ummah, with particular focus on the Palestinian issue.
Director of the Local Corporation for Water and Sanitation, Abdulghani Al-Qutmah, remarked that the Prophet's birthday offers an opportunity to reinforce values such as solidarity, compassion, and justice as taught by the Prophet. He noted the importance of returning to these values, especially amid the difficult circumstances faced by the Yemeni people due to aggression and blockade.
Speakers at the event highlighted that commemorating the Prophet's birth symbolizes unity and support for the revolutionary and political leadership in Yemen. They reiterated Yemen's firm stance against normalization and submission to adversaries, pledging to uphold the Prophet's legacy in defending national sovereignty.
