Al-Masawa Opens New Departments at Taiz General Hospital

Sanaa: Acting Taiz governor Ahmed al-Masawa on Tuesday inaugurated several new departments at Taiz General Hospital, including orthopedics, emergency, dialysis, and the central laboratory.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the visit, al-Masawa praised the efforts of the hospital administration, the Health Office, and supporting agencies in expanding services. The initiative is seen as a significant step in enhancing the healthcare infrastructure in the region, which has been striving to meet the growing medical needs of its population.

Health Director Dr. Mohammed al-Azzi highlighted that the hospital's second phase of development is 90% complete, with an investment of $1 million. This phase is expected to enhance the hospital's capacity to provide comprehensive healthcare services, benefiting thousands of residents in Taiz and surrounding areas.

Hospital Director Hamoud al-Qarah stated that the new facility marks a major advancement for the governorate's health sector. The new departments are anticipated to improve patient care and reduce the need for residents to travel long distances for specialized medical services.
