Al-Masawi Condemns Saudi Attack on Taiz Market

Taiz:The Acting Taiz Governor Ahmed Al-Masawi has condemned the Saudi attack on Taiz Central Market in Maoyah Junction, Al-Taiziyah District, which resulted in the deaths of seven civilians and injuries to 40 others. The attack also caused significant damage to shops and civilian property.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Masawi stated that targeting a crowded civilian market is a grave violation of principles that prohibit attacks on civilians and their property.

He emphasized that Maoyah Junction serves as a crucial civilian and commercial hub, providing services to residents and public facilities. The attack, therefore, poses a direct threat to civilian lives and essential services.

Al-Masawi also asserted that these crimes against civilians are futile in achieving political or military objectives, reaffirming that the people of Taiz will continue to resist Saudi military actions in the governorate.
