Juban: The football and volleyball competitions of the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him and his family) birthday tournament commenced at the Al-Ittihad Na'awah Sports, Cultural, and Social Club in Juban district, Dhale' Governorate, under the supervision of the Governorate's Youth Office and the local council of the district. The tournament is set to run for ten days, featuring six football teams and five volleyball teams.
According to Yemen News Agency, the opening match saw al-Ittihad face al-Wahda, with al-Ittihad securing victory by a single goal. The match was attended by the district Youth Office director, the head of Na'awah Club, and several notable sports figures. This tournament forms part of the sports activities organized to celebrate the Prophet's birthday, demonstrating broad community engagement with this significant religious occasion.
