Sanaa:According to Yemen News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has issued a stern warning to Saudi Arabia, stating that the principle of reciprocity will guide Yemen's military response to ongoing aggression. The Ministry highlighted the significant loss of life and destruction in Yemen, particularly since the targeting of Sanaa Airport earlier this year, which has necessitated a response from the Yemeni Armed Forces.
The Ministry accused Saudi Arabia of ignoring calls to lift the blockade and cease attacks on Sanaa International Airport over the past 12 years, referencing hundreds of raids on the facility. It argued that ending the blockade and hostile activities would be less damaging to Saudi Arabia than continuing its current course.
Airlines flying to Saudi airports were advised to coordinate with the Yemeni Humanitarian Operations Center to avoid moral and legal repercussions. The Ministry also criticized Qatar, accusing it of complicity in the suffering of the Yemeni people due to its political and media alignments with Saudi Arabia, and urged Qatar to reconsider its stance.
The Ministry further criticized the United Nations and its envoy to Yemen for allegedly legitimizing Saudi actions, and warned of severe consequences if Saudi Arabia does not cease its interference in Yemen. It concluded that Saudi Arabia's militarization of the Bab al-Mandab Strait without international censure reveals the true intentions of those opposing Yemeni sovereignty.
