Sana'a:Palestinian researcher and activist Dr. Mohammed Al-Buhaisi has described Yemen's ongoing battle as a continuation of Palestine's struggle against the Zionist project and its allies.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Al-Buhaisi spoke at an intellectual seminar organized by Sana'a University to commemorate the third anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation. He emphasized that efforts to incite sectarian strife and divide regional fronts had been unsuccessful.
In a presentation titled "Al-Aqsa Flood and October 14 Regional and Global Fronts United Against the Zionist Narrative," Al-Buhaisi highlighted Yemen's pivotal role in the unified fronts supporting Palestine, noting its early involvement in the operation to defend freedom and independence.
Dr. Al-Buhaisi asserted that the Zionist project, involving Jewish, Christian, and Arab elements, was responsible for targeting both Palestine and Yemen. He noted that the Al-Aqsa Flood operation aimed to awaken global conscience and transition the resistance axis to direct ground action.
He underscored the historical and ongoing significance of Al-Quds to national struggles, referencing its importance from the Palestinian resistance movements in the 1930s to the Battle of the Sword of Al-Quds. Al-Buhaisi pointed out that Al-Aqsa Flood helped to overcome divisions among Palestinian and Arab fronts, including those in Gaza, the West Bank, and refugee camps.
The researcher highlighted Hezbollah's entry into the battle on October 8, 2023, as a significant move that displaced hundreds of thousands of Israeli settlers from northern occupied Palestine and forced Israeli military units to divert from Gaza.
Yemen's involvement, according to Al-Buhaisi, serves as a unique model of initiative and support in the Arab and Islamic worlds, despite geographical distance and a blockade. He detailed Yemen's five phases of escalation, including restricting Israeli shipping in the Red Sea and launching attacks within the occupied territories, with missiles and drones reaching targets near the Mediterranean and the Indian Ocean.
Rejecting excuses of geographical distance and limited resources, Al-Buhaisi argued that Yemen's strategic planning and political will illustrated how such challenges could be overcome. He concluded by affirming Yemen's dedication to jihad, resistance, and opposition to tyranny, emphasizing its steadfast support for Palestine and viewing Gaza and Sana'a as inseparable. The struggle against American and Zionist hegemony, he stated, is ongoing.
