Sanaa:The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has emphasized the necessity of reciprocity in response to the ongoing military actions by Saudi Arabia. This comes amid heightened tensions following the targeting of Sanaa Airport, which has resulted in numerous casualties and extensive infrastructure damage in Yemen.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Ministry's statement underscored the Saudi regime's longstanding neglect of calls to lift the blockade and cease the targeting of Sanaa International Airport. The facility has faced numerous raids over the past 12 years, including attacks before the recent strikes attributed to Zionist forces. The statement argued that ending the blockade and hostile actions would be more beneficial for Saudi Arabia than continuing with aggressive strategies that could lead to significant harm.
The Ministry advised airlines traveling to Saudi airports to coordinate with Yemen's Humanitarian Operations Center to avoid moral and legal repercussions. It also criticized Qatar's involvement in media and political activities that allegedly contribute to the suffering of the Yemeni people, urging Qatar to reassess its position and warning of the risks in aligning with Saudi Arabia.
The statement further criticized the United Nations for legitimizing Saudi actions in Yemen, pointing out the flaws in the stance of the UN and its envoy to Yemen. It warned that if Saudi Arabia does not halt its interference in Yemen, the repercussions will be severe, urging international pressure on Saudi Arabia to change its course of action.
The Ministry concluded by highlighting the issue of the Bab al-Mandab Strait being used as a military confrontation zone, stressing that the lack of international response to this situation exposes the intentions of those opposing Yemeni sovereignty.
