Marib:A local authority official in Marib has dismissed claims by Saudi Arabia regarding advances in the Majzar District, accusing the Al Hadath and Al Arabiya media channels of disseminating false reports.
According to Yemen News Agency, the official stated that current fighting is occurring on the Ragwan fronts, suggesting that the Saudi claims are a sign of confusion and an effort to boost the morale of Saudi-backed forces.
The Yemeni armed forces reportedly repelled an attack launched by Saudi-backed enemy forces on military positions in Ragwan on Friday morning, resulting in dozens of casualties and forcing the remaining attackers to retreat.
The official further claimed that Saudi forces are under pressure to launch haphazard attacks in desperation for battlefield success, which is leading to numerous daily fatalities in the desert.
