Al-tuhayta: Al-Nakheel team from Al-Suwaiq clinched the title of the Prophet's Birthday Football Championship in the Al-Tuhayta District, situated in the Hodeida Governorate. The tournament, orchestrated by the district's Youth and Sports Office, featured five competing sports teams and was held as part of the celebrations honoring the Prophet's birthday.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Nakheel achieved victory by defeating Najm Al-Madman with a close score of 4-3 in a match that saw a total of seven goals. The event concluded with Al-Nakheel receiving the first-place trophy, while Najm Al-Madman was awarded the runner-up trophy. The championship garnered significant public attention and was well-attended.
Sami Musbah, the Director of the district's Youth and Sports Office, stated that the tournament was organized to celebrate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday, aiming to enhance the youth's engagement with this occasion. He highlighted the ongoing commitment to sports and youth activities in the district as vital for fostering brotherhood and unity among residents, even amid challenging circumstances.
