Sanaa: Member of the Supreme Political Council Mohammed Al-Nuaimi sent a cable of condolences and sympathy on the passing of activist Hatem Abu Hatem, after a life devoted to service and giving.
According to Yemen News Agency, the message was addressed to the deceased's brother, Naji Abu Hatem, and his son, Ali Hatem Abu Hatem. Al-Nuaimi praised the late activist's prominent roles in serving the nation and society. He highlighted that Abu Hatem was a man deeply committed to the progress, stability, and development of his homeland, always striving to bring positive change for the nation and its people.
Al-Nuaimi remarked that Abu Hatem did not seek personal glory but consistently prioritized Yemen's interests, defending the values of justice and freedom, and confronting oppression and tyranny. He emphasized that Abu Hatem believed in the necessity of men dedicated to truth and liberation from dependency, never compromising on the principles he held dear throughout his struggle, despite facing significant challenges.
He further stressed that with Abu Hatem's passing, Yemen and the Arab nationalist movement have lost a courageous figure whose contributions will be remembered in the history of the national and Arab nationalist movement. Al-Nuaimi extended his heartfelt condolences to the deceased's family and the tribes of Nihm, praying for Allah's mercy upon him and for solace for his family.
