Hajjah: The Al-Qassam team defeated its counterpart Al-Ahli with two goals to one in the second round of the first group competitions of the "Martyrs on the Road to Quds" football tournament in Hajjah Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the goals in the match, officiated by referee Akram Hamid, assistant referees Nabil Al-Baqa' and Muin Bakhit, and fourth official Khaled Al-Shaghdari, were scored by players Azzam Al-Zaakri and Abdulrahman Al-Jumai for the Al-Qassam team, and Tawfiq Qahita for Al-Ahli.
Today, the Martyr Abu Abdil team is set to face off against the Falasteen team, which is participating in its first match of the tournament, in a bid to strengthen its lead in the second group.
In the youth category, the Al-Sumud team secured a victory over the Ghaza team with a single goal scored by player Yaqub Tabuh in the third group competitions.
