Seoul: Ibb Governor Abdulwahid Salah inaugurated the distribution of Eid clothing for children in orphanages, organized by the Provincial Office of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance for the year 1447 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Eid clothing initiative, part of the "Cooperate in Righteousness and Piety" project, benefits 645 orphans from the Al-Hubaishi Orphan Care and Rehabilitation Center, as well as the two branches of the Al-Rahma Foundation for Human Development in the Wykhan and Al-Sahoul areas, at a total cost of 12.9 million Yemeni riyals.
During the inauguration, Governor Salah emphasized that distributing Eid clothing for orphans is part of the shared responsibility of society and implements the directives of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to care for orphans, especially during the holy month. He praised the role of the Endowments Office in carrying out charitable and humanitarian projects, bringing joy to the hearts of orphans. He noted that such projects highlight solidarity and compassion within the community.
Governor Salah also pointed out that the local authority in the governorate is working to expand social care programs for orphans in the coming period, aiming to improve their living, psychological, and educational conditions. He stressed the importance of strengthening partnerships with official bodies, charitable organizations, and philanthropists to ensure the sustainability of these humanitarian projects.
Deputy Director of the Provincial Endowments Office, Saddam Al-Amisi, explained that the Eid clothing project for orphans is part of the annual Ramadan initiatives carried out by the Authority to support deserving groups, in accordance with the endowers' instructions. He affirmed the office's commitment to caring for orphans within its mission to revive religious and humanitarian values in society. Al-Amisi added that monthly sponsorship payments totaling three million riyals have been disbursed to orphanages in the governorate center.
Meanwhile, Director of the Al-Hubaishi Orphan Care Center in the governorate, Arafat Sharif, highlighted the virtues of sponsoring an orphan and the importance of providing full protection and care. He also praised the continued support of the local authority and the Endowments Office for orphanages, reflecting the collective responsibility of all community members.
