Dhamar: The sports activities of the Mawlid Football Championship concluded on Saturday in Mifa'ah 'Anas District, Dhamar Governorate. The event was organized by the district branch of the Youth and Sports Office, under the supervision of the governorate's Youth Office and with the support of the Youth Care Fund.
According to Yemen News Agency, the final football match of the championship was held at the Al-Sahm Club Stadium in Wurqa. Al-Quds team was crowned champion, winning the trophy and gold medals after defeating Shabab Wurqa 3-2. In addition, the results of the athletics competitions for the Cubs and Juniors categories saw the following winners: for the Cubs, Kamel Abdullah Masa'd, Ahmed Hamid Al-Wurqi, and Saleh Abdo Al-Shuwa'a; for the Juniors, Hayel Mujahid Hayel, Saleh Ahmed Al-Jamadi, and Jameel Tareq Faza'.
Following the matches, the championship winners were honored with trophies, medals, and prizes by Ahmed Saleh Al-Wurqi, member of the local council in the governorate; Tayseer Rawih, Director of the Governorate Youth and Sports Office; Ahmed Al-Wurqi, Director of the district branch; and other sports leaders.
