Taiz: Al-Raheda Customs Center in Taiz governorate, in cooperation with the Anti-Smuggling Unit, seized on Thursday a quantity of smuggled medicines that were being transported on the backs of porters. Director of the Customs Center, Mohammed al-Jabri, stated that the seized items included 2,426 strips and packets of pharmaceuticals, alongside 1,080 boxes of therapeutic drugs.
According to Yemen News Agency, the successful operation was attributed to ongoing coordination between the Customs Authority and various security and military bodies. This collaboration is part of a broader strategy to enhance anti-smuggling measures and ensure the safety and security of the region's pharmaceutical supply.
Badr Fahd al-Muadhin, the Deputy Director for Enforcement Affairs at the Customs Center, emphasized that the Center operates with high efficiency and fully cooperates with all relevant security agencies in the governorate. This cooperation is integral to their efforts in combating smuggling activities and maintaining the integrity of customs operations across the region.
