Sanaa: A member of the Supreme Political Council, Sultan Al-Sami’i, emphasized that Yemeni women have bravely confronted a soft war and systematic targeting by aggression, aimed at undermining their resolve. He highlighted their crucial role in building society and safeguarding the nation.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Samai made these remarks on the occasion of International Women’s Day. He extended congratulations to women globally, particularly those in Yemen, Palestine, and Lebanon, acknowledging the sacrifices made by the mothers of martyrs. Al-Samai underscored that celebrating women transcends a mere occasion; it is a recognition of their status and active participation in building civilizations. He stated that societal development is contingent upon the collaborative efforts of both men and women.
Al-Samai further emphasized the necessity of enhancing the role of Yemeni women and empowering them across various fields. This empowerment is vital to ensure their involvement in decision-making processes and their contribution to national construction and development.
He also noted that Yemeni women deserve appreciation despite the challenges posed by aggression and blockade, commending their steadfast support for stability across different sectors.
