Sanaa:In a speech commemorating the 12th anniversary of the 21 September Revolution, Al-Sayyid Abdul Malik Badruddin Al-Houthi addressed the challenges faced by Yemen and the ongoing struggle for freedom and independence. He stressed the revolution's significance in liberating Yemen from foreign influence and restoring faith-based identity.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Houthi outlined the adverse impact of foreign intervention, particularly by the United States, Britain, and their regional allies, on Yemen's sovereignty. He accused these powers of subjugating Yemen to foreign tutelage and exploiting its resources, leading to political disintegration, military weakening, and economic collapse.
Al-Houthi highlighted the revolution's success in resisting foreign domination and emphasized the importance of maintaining Yemen's independence. He accused regional actors, especially Saudi Arabia, of perpetuating aggression and imposing a blockade that has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
The speech reaffirmed Yemen's commitment to defending its sovereignty and supporting the Palestinian cause. Al-Houthi criticized international and regional actors for their silence and inaction in the face of Yemen's suffering, urging continued resistance against foreign aggression and the blockade.
