Sana'a:The Ibni Autism Center has launched the 'Sanad for Autism' campaign in Sana'a, coinciding with the conclusion of the 'Awareness and Eid' initiative. These efforts were conducted in collaboration with the Bonyan Development Foundation and in partnership with the Ministries of Health, Environment, Education, and Scientific Research, along with several Yemeni universities.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hatem Al-Duais emphasized the ministry's commitment to supporting developmental and humanitarian initiatives, particularly those focused on children with autism. He highlighted the importance of collaboration between government bodies and civil society organizations in executing awareness campaigns, commending the efforts of the Ibni Autism Center and Bonyan Foundation.
Dr. Al-Duais remarked that the campaign and initiative are exemplary models of joint action, aimed at raising community awareness and creating conducive educational environments for children with autism. He also underscored the necessity of both field and academic research to better address the needs of these children.
Ali Maher, Acting Executive Director of the Bonyan Development Foundation, reiterated the foundation's dedication to humanitarian and developmental priorities, focusing on autism. He affirmed the foundation's ongoing commitment to community and awareness initiatives that foster social solidarity and facilitate the integration of children with autism into society.
Dr. Khalil Al-Wajeeh, President of Al-Razi University, emphasized the significant role of Yemeni universities in tackling humanitarian and developmental challenges, particularly in supporting children with autism and their families.
Eng. Samir Al-Barawi, Director of the Ibni Autism Center, detailed the goals of the 'Sanad for Autism' campaign and highlighted the awareness and humanitarian achievements of the 'Awareness and Eid' initiative. He mentioned the center's continuous development of diagnostic and rehabilitation programs aligned with modern scientific approaches.
During the event, student Atheer Ahmed delivered a speech and presentation on the campaign and initiative outcomes, showcasing the active involvement of Yemeni university students in organizing and implementing these activities. She emphasized how these initiatives allowed young people to apply their academic knowledge in practical ways that benefit the community and enhance the quality of life for children with autism.
