Launch of 75th Eye Surgery Medical Camp in Munabbih District, Sa’ada

Sanaa: The 75th free medical camp for eye surgery was launched today in Munabbih District, Sa'ada Governorate. It is being implemented by the Health Care Association for Affected Communities and funded by the General Authority for Zakat.

According to Yemen News Agency, the camp is being held at the Munabbih Rural Hospital in cooperation with the Republican Hospital Authority over four days, in coordination with the Ministry of Health. It aims to provide examination services and perform cataract removal surgeries, targeting impoverished groups in the district to alleviate their suffering.

At the inauguration, which was attended by the Local Secretary of the District, Jaber Yahya; the Director of Health, Dr. Hayel Salman; and the Director of Munabbih Hospital, Mohammed Thafir, the Head of the Health Committee at the Zakat Authority, Dr. Hassan Tammah, explained that the medical camps funded by the Authority, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and implemented by the Health Care Association, aim to assist those in need, meet the needs of remote areas that lack access to services, and contribute to enhancing social solidarity and charity for the poorest and most vulnerable groups.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Health Care Association for Affected Communities, Dr. Nashwan Al-Attab, stated that during the first and second days of the camp, examinations and check-ups will be conducted, and cases requiring surgical intervention will be identified and subjected to pre-operative tests.
