Kushar: Al-Shabab team has clinched the Martyr Mohammed Al-Ghumari Football Championship in Kushar District, Hajjah Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Shabab team secured the championship, organized by the district's Youth and Sports Office branch with the participation of eight teams, after defeating its counterpart Al-Wehda 3-2 in the final match.
The Director of Youth and Sports in the district, Fawaz Rassam, explained that holding the championship serves to connect the youth with the martyr, the mujahid Mohammed Al-Ghumari, and to commemorate his sacrifices.
He highlighted that such sports championships provide an opportunity to discover sports talents and develop the sports sector in the district. He also noted the high level of the championship, the competitive spirit among the participating teams, and the large audience turnout.
Following the match, the champion, runner-up, and distinguished players in the tournament were honored.
