Sana'a: Researcher Fathi Mahmoud Hashem was awarded a PhD in Business Administration with distinction from the University of Science and Technology in the capital Sana'a for his dissertation on the impact of strategic intelligence on strategic entrepreneurship through intellectual capital.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Hashem earned his Doctor of Philosophy degree for his dissertation titled: 'The Impact of Strategic Intelligence on Strategic Entrepreneurship through Intellectual Capital: A Field Study in Private Yemeni Community Colleges in Sana'a.' The dissertation defense committee was chaired by Dr. Abdul Latif Musleh from the University of Science and Technology as internal examiner, with Dr. Abdo Al-Ameri from the same university serving as principal supervisor, and Dr. Zaid Shaoush from Amran University acting as external examiner.
The committee praised the content and methodology of the study, describing it as a qualitative addition to the Yemeni academic library and a contribution that opens new horizons for future research in strategic management. The panel also commended the study's findings and recommended that the dissertation be printed at the university's expense and circulated among universities.
The research aimed to assess the level of practice and achievement of strategic intelligence and the availability of intellectual capital in private Yemeni community colleges. It further examined the impact of strategic intelligence on intellectual capital and strategic entrepreneurship, diagnosed the current state of these variables in community colleges, and identified shortcomings, challenges, and proposed solutions to enhance performance in the higher education sector.
