Sanaa: The leadership of Al-Tahrir District in the Capital Secretariat convened a meeting with local professionals to commemorate Rajab Friday and reinforce religious identity through community activities and events.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by district director Naji Al-Shi'ani and the Capital Secretariat's community initiatives coordinator, Rashid Mufaddal. Cultural researcher and activist Dr. Hamoud Al-Ahnoumi discussed the significance of observing this important religious occasion and strengthening the Yemeni people's faith-based identity.
Dr. Al-Ahnoumi highlighted the historical and spiritual importance of Rajab Friday, describing it as a 'festival of festivals' and a pivotal moment in Yemen's history. He noted that it marks the voluntary and sincere conversion of Yemenis to Islam.
He also emphasized the role of Rajab Friday in reinforcing religious identity, fostering a strong connection to the Prophet's message, and raising community awareness against efforts aimed at erasing Yemen's authentic identity and distancing new generations from their faith and heritage.
Meanwhile, the district's public mobilization officer, Abdul Latif Al-Wali, stressed the importance of continuing community mobilization at this stage. He encouraged participation in 'Al-Aqsa Flood' courses for training and preparedness to defend religion, the homeland, and to support the causes and sacred values of the nation, with a focus on the Palestinian cause.
