Al-Tashih Commemorates Anniversary of President Al-Hamdi’s Assassination

Sana'a:The Nasserist Popular Al-Tashih Organization marked the 49th anniversary of the assassination of President Ibrahim Al-Hamdi and his brother, Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Al-Hamdi, at the Martyrs' Cemetery Square in Sana'a. The commemoration was attended by members of the Al-Hamdi family, along with national and social figures and political leaders.

According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Dhaifullah Rassam emphasized the significance of remembering the anniversary to highlight the history and conspiracies against Yemen. He described the late President Al-Hamdi as a national symbol and the architect of a modern state project that was disrupted by a Saudi-backed conspiracy.

Rassam urged the need to learn from that period, strengthen national unity, and reject external influences. Mujahid Al-Quhali, head of the Al-Tashih Organization, affirmed that Al-Hamdi's assassination targeted the Yemeni state and national unity, holding the Saudi regime accountable for the crime and its consequences.

Al-Quhali called for a serious investigation into the assassination to ensure justice and uncover the truth. He explained that the assassination was part of a plan to keep Yemen weak and divided, noting that the murder of President Saleh Al-Sammad was similarly aimed at obstructing Yemen's independence.

He warned against Saudi military buildups and urged the people to prioritize national interests and resist external exploitation. Al-Quhali also highlighted recent footage of attacks on prisoners and military movements involving Takfiri elements as evidence of Saudi intentions in Yemen.

He reiterated the Al-Tashih Organization's support for Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi in confronting aggression and maintaining the 'blockade for blockade' stance until Saudi actions cease and Yemeni rights are secured.

Ali Al-Qahoum of the Ansarullah Political Bureau stressed the importance of the commemoration to remind people of Al-Hamdi's achievements. The event concluded with the reading of a statement by Dr. Abdullah Talib, addressing conspiracies against Yemen and the achievements of its people.
