Sana'a:The Entisaf Organization for Women and Child Rights has condemned the attack committed by the Saudi forces targeting a home in the Bab Shu'ub area of the Capital Municipality. The assault resulted in injuries to six civilians, including a woman and a child.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Entisaf Organization reported that since the escalation began, the documented number of casualties has reached 265, encompassing both those killed and injured. This highlights the ongoing threat to Yemeni civilians, particularly in residential areas.
The organization detailed that between September 3 and October 11, 2026, there were 92 fatalities and 173 injuries, with women and children comprising approximately 60 percent of these casualties. This data underscores the significant impact on vulnerable groups.
The statement from the organization also noted the actual toll might be higher than reported due to potential undocumented casualties. The attack in Bab Shu'ub is seen as a continuation of the civilian suffering amidst ongoing hostilities, emphasizing the need for protection in accordance with international humanitarian law.
Entisaf's report stressed that the 265 documented casualties are just a fraction of the total harm inflicted by over 12 years of conflict and blockade. The suffering has deeply affected all Yemenis, particularly women and children.
The organization warned that continued hostilities exacerbate the hardships faced by Yemeni families, with severe psychological, social, and health impacts, especially on women and children who need protection and support.
Entisaf held Saudi forces accountable for ongoing violations and called on the international community, the United Nations, and humanitarian organizations to take immediate action. They urged for an end to the aggression and blockade, the provision of essential aid, and efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people. Protecting civilians, especially women and children, is emphasized as a legal duty under international humanitarian law, requiring serious international efforts to ensure accountability and justice.
