Hodeida:A team from Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority commenced a field visit to Al-Khokha General Hospital on Wednesday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the purpose of the visit is to evaluate the hospital's needs and to establish a process for applying the Authority's expertise in hospital management and operations. This initiative is part of a twinning partnership between the two hospitals.
The team, led by Dr. Khaled Suhail, Head of Al-Thawra Hospital Authority, included Dr. Ali Al-Haddad, Director of the Governorate's Health and Environment Office, Deputy Heads Dr. Abdullah Zuhairi and Dr. Abdo Obeid, along with medical, technical, and administrative staff. They were accompanied by Member of Parliament Abdo Radman during their inspection of the hospital's departments and facilities.
During the visit, the team evaluated the current services and resources, identifying necessary staffing and medical, technical, and operational requirements. They also listened to the hospital staff's input regarding the operations and primary challenges faced.
The assessment focused on identifying administrative, medical, technical, and operational needs to enhance Al-Khokha Hospital's performance and service quality. This is intended to pave the way for utilizing Al-Thawra's management expertise tailored to Al-Khokha's specific needs and capabilities.
Dr. Suhail stated that the twinning arrangement facilitates support for Al-Khokha Hospital through the Authority's expertise, aiming to improve service quality for the public. Dr. Al-Haddad highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts between health authorities and local government to ensure stable medical services in the district.
The initiative is in line with directives from the Ministry of Health and Environment and the local authority of Hodeida governorate, focusing on enhancing medical services for residents of Al-Khokha district and nearby areas through shared expertise.
