Capital secretariat: Residents of Al-Wahda District in the Capital Secretariat held a large armed rally on Sunday to mark the 12th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution and express support for the armed forces and the 'blockade-for-blockade' equation, while rejecting Saudi allegations that Yemen targeted Makkah.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants, in the presence of local and security officials, praised the sacrifices and battlefield achievements of the armed forces in defending Yemen's sovereignty, freedom, and independence. They declared their full support for Ansarullah leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi and backed the armed forces in taking what they described as appropriate measures to defend Yemen's sovereignty, secure the rights of the Yemeni people, and end aggression, blockade, and occupation.
In a statement, the participants condemned Saudi accusations that Yemen targeted Makkah, describing them as false allegations, and held Saudi Arabia, along with its American and Israeli allies, responsible for threats to Islamic holy sites. They also condemned Saudi attempts to target Sana'a and warned that such actions would meet with a response from the Yemeni armed forces.
The statement called for continued high readiness, general mobilization, support for military training programs, and strengthening Yemen's missile, air, and naval capabilities. It also warned against any attempts to undermine security and stability on the home front, stating that those involved would be treated as aligned with the Saudi-led side.
Local, executive, and mobilization officials, tribal sheikhs, social figures, and residents of Al-Wahda District attended the rally.
