Amran: A meeting chaired by Amran governor Dr. Faisal Juma'an on Sunday addressed measures to prevent farmers from using treated or untreated wastewater to irrigate crops, including fruits and vegetables. Officials approved strict monitoring and referral of violators to relevant authorities, emphasizing the health risks of using wastewater near treatment plants.
According to Yemen News Agency, the governor instructed the formation of a committee to inspect farmland, enforce irrigation bans, and ensure coordination among agriculture, water, sanitation, and security agencies to protect public health and prevent the spread of diseases.
