Sana'a: Amran governor Dr. Faisal Juma'an, in collaboration with local education sector official Zaid Ratas, inaugurated a campaign on Saturday to plant fruit trees in several schools within the Amran district.
According to Yemen News Agency, the campaign involves planting a variety of fruit trees, including almonds, plums, loquats, peaches, and mangoes. This initiative aims to promote self-sufficiency and raise environmental awareness among students and the community.
Officials emphasized the significance of greening both public and private schools throughout the governorate. This initiative is part of broader national agricultural directives.
The launch of this campaign also aligns with celebrations marking the Prophet's birth and the recent victories of the armed forces in support of Gaza and Palestine.
