Amran: Governor of Amran Dr. Faisal Juma'an and head of the education sector in the governorate, Zaid Rattas, launched the new academic year 1447 AH in the governorate's schools. The inauguration ceremonies took place on Saturday at various educational institutions including al-Hamza School, the 22nd of May Educational Complex, the Martyrs of Model Education Complex, and Iqraa Private School in Amran City.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Juma'an and Rattas hailed the start of the new academic year as a triumph for the educational front. They noted the high student turnout and the smooth commencement of the educational process, which aligns with the school calendar and reflects the community's commitment to the importance of knowledge and education.
The governor and the director of the education sector emphasized that the launch of the academic year sends a strong message of resilience and steadfastness to the forces of aggression. They also acknowledged the efforts of teachers and school principals in advancing the educational process. Students were encouraged to strive for excellence and aim for top honors, particularly those working towards their basic and secondary school certificates.
Accompanying them at the event were Abdulrahman al-Imad, Director of Amran Directorate; Ibrahim al-Nono, Director of the Martyrs Care Authority branch; Jamal al-Qadi, Director of Amran Education Directorate; Mohammed al-Hamdi, the school supplies director; and Yahya al-Houthi, the deputy director of education in the directorate.
In addition, directors of the directorates and education departments across the governorate also initiated the new school year in their respective schools. During their visits, they commended the community's proactive approach in encouraging students to attend school from the very first day of the academic year's first semester.
