Mahweet Governor Reviews Progress of Free Eye Camp

Mahweet: Mahweet governor Hanin Qataina inspected on Tuesday the progress of the free medical camp for ophthalmology and eye surgery, which is being held at the Republican Teaching Hospital in cooperation with Anwar Al-Mutahidin Eye Center and with support from the Direct Aid Foundation.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the visit, the governor reviewed the level of medical services provided, the mechanism for receiving patients, and the procedures for medical examinations and consultations in preparation for surgeries. He listened to a briefing from the director of the Republican Hospital, Dr. Hamid Al Sadiq, and the medical and administrative staff working at the camp about the nature of the ongoing work, the number of patients benefiting, and the medical equipment.

Those in charge of the camp explained that it will continue for five days and is now in its second day receiving patients and conducting the necessary medical examinations in preparation for free cataract removal and lens implantation surgeries.

For his part, Governor Qutaina affirmed the local authority's commitment to supporting medical and humanitarian projects and facilitating their implementation. The implementation of free medical camps contributes to improving the health situation and serving citizens in various districts. The governor praised the efforts of the medical and administrative staff, the humanitarian role of the Direct Aid Foundation, and the fruitful cooperation with the Anwar Al-Mutahidin Eye Center, calling for the strengthening of such initiatives that address citizens' needs and alleviate their health suffering.
