Taiz Launches Second Workshop to Develop Three-Year Strategic Plan for Executive Agencies

Taiz: The local authority and Planning Sector in Taiz province inaugurated the second workshop for preparing the three-year strategic plan (1448-1450 AH) for executive agencies and their district branches, aiming to unify planning and funding approaches across all sectors.

According to Yemen News Agency, the six-day workshop involves 100 participants from various executive offices and districts and continues the effort to develop a comprehensive development plan. It focuses on setting priorities for 1448 AH, training staff and agency leaders on integrated planning methodologies, and familiarizing them with performance indicators and targeted outcomes.

Key strategic areas include strengthening religious and national values, boosting local production and self-sufficiency, supporting community initiatives and cooperatives, improving social protection, enhancing education quality and institutional capacities, expanding public services, and promoting healthcare, particularly in rural and underserved areas.

Mohammed al-Washli, Head of the Planning Sector, emphasized the workshop's role in training field researchers to collect accurate community data for informed planning.

Field surveys will feed into the three-year plan and its annual breakdown, ensuring realistic, actionable plans that align with community needs, promote equitable service distribution, and strengthen partnerships between local authorities, society, and the private sector to support sustainable development.
