Amran Governor Receives Student Forum Shield and Prepares for Medical Conference

Amran: Amran Governor Dr. Faisal Jamaan received a shield from the University Student Forum and the 'Tufan Al-Amn Al-Raqmi' graduating class, recognizing his support for academic and student activities, as well as his interest in scientific initiatives within the governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, the shield was presented to Governor Jamaan by Dr. Mohammed Al-Eryani, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Amran University, alongside other notable figures such as Dr. Mohammed Al-Houthi, Director of the Governorate Health and Environment Office, Dr. Abdulghani Faris, Head of Al-Samad Martyr Hospital Authority, and Dr. Osama Al-Sharafi, a member of the administrative body of the University Student Forum in the governorate. This honor underscores the local authority's role in fostering educational and scientific collaborations and enhancing opportunities for young professionals.

In a concurrent meeting, Governor Jamaan discussed the preparations for the upcoming Fourth Annual Medical Conference, set for September 16-17. Organized by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Amran University, the conference will feature participation from medical and academic specialists as well as representatives from related institutions. The meeting covered various aspects of the conference preparations, focusing on organizational, technical, and logistical arrangements necessary to ensure a successful event.

Governor Jamaan reiterated the local authority's commitment to supporting the conference, praising the efforts of the leadership and organizing committees involved in the planning process. He highlighted the importance of such conferences in facilitating the exchange of medical knowledge and expertise, addressing health sector challenges, and developing recommendations to enhance healthcare services for citizens.

Furthermore, Governor Jamaan emphasized that advancing the health sector requires investment in human resources and continuous training for healthcare professionals. He called for the expansion of medical training programs, the encouragement of scientific research, and the utilization of academic events to tackle local health issues and improve medical services across the governorate.
