Amran Governor Reviews Performance of Transport and Revenue Units

Amran:A meeting chaired by Amran governor Dr. Faisal Juma'an on Sunday focused on evaluating the operational performance of the Land Transport Authority branch, Qat tax, and real estate revenue units in the governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included attendees such as Abdullah Hamid al-Din, Director of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority branch, Mujahid al-Husseini, Director of the Qat Tax Unit, and Amin al-Dhibini, Deputy Director of the Real Estate Revenue Unit. Discussions centered on strategies to enhance efficiency, streamline tax collection, and optimize local revenue streams.

Key operational challenges, oversight mechanisms, and strategic proposals were reviewed to strengthen financial resources and improve public service delivery across the districts. Reports presented covered revenue generation outcomes from January to September, efforts to refine collection procedures, and coordination with local authorities to allocate revenues toward essential service and development projects.

Al-Husseini provided insights into the Qat Tax Unit's performance, highlighting measures to improve collection mechanisms. Hamid al-Din discussed transport sector developments, focusing on regulating dispatch operations, enhancing service quality, and reducing traffic congestion.

Amin al-Dhibini outlined achievements within the Real Estate Revenue Unit, emphasizing efforts to modernize tax procedures through automation and system integration to enhance collection efficiency.

Governor Juma'an emphasized the importance of transport and revenue offices in local development. He instructed tax personnel to maintain integrity, transparency, and accountability to build public trust. He also directed authorities to update taxpayer databases, enforce adherence to the Local Authority Law, strengthen coordination, and submit periodic performance reports to address operational shortcomings and ensure the execution of development plans.
