Amran: Massive protests swept across Amran governorate on Friday, following Eid al-Adha prayers, affirming solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza and adherence to principled stances on the Palestinian cause.
According to Yemen News Agency, the protests were led by governorate leaders, with participants chanting slogans condemning the "criminal Zionist entity's brutal crimes and heinous massacres" against civilians in Gaza. The demonstrators called for widespread action against what they termed as the shameful silence of Arab and international communities.
The participants expressed Yemen's unwavering support and full solidarity with Gaza, which they claimed is facing barbaric aggression. They criticized the U.S. veto as evidence of American partnership in "Israeli massacres" and rejected any normalization with the "Zionist entity," maintaining that Palestine remains the central issue for Yemen.
Statements from the protests congratulated the Revolution Leader and President of the Supreme Political Council on Eid, while also reaffirming the protesters' readiness to confront any escalation from Yemen's adversaries. The statements emphasized the importance of strengthening internal cohesion and praised the armed forces' deterrent actions against the "Zionist entity," support for Gaza, and defense of national sovereignty. They highlighted Yemen's effective role in the regional confrontation.
