Amran: Amran province witnessed 118 mass rallies on Friday to commemorate International Quds Day, affirming the centrality of the Palestinian cause and rejecting what participants described as Zionist and American domination. During the rallies held in the provincial center, across various districts, sub-districts, and villages, participants were led in the provincial capital by Governor Dr. Faisal Jaaman, along with deputy governors, mobilization officials, the security director, security, military leaders, and social figures. The crowds condemned the escalation of what they described as American-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, which they said comes within a project referred to as 'Greater Israel' that threatens the entire region.
According to Yemen News Agency, the crowds praised the resilience and courage of fighters from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Iranian army, Hezbollah, and armed factions in Iraq. Participants raised Palestinian, Yemeni, and Iranian flags and chanted slogans stressing the unity of the Islamic stance and rejecting normalization. They emphasized that the cause of Al-Quds concerns the entire Muslim nation and that supporting the Palestinian people is a religious and humanitarian duty.
Residents of Amran further declared their full support for the Islamic Republic of Iran-its army, Revolutionary Guard, and people-and for Hezbollah in Lebanon, praising what they described as its steadfastness in confronting Israeli aggression. They also expressed solidarity with fighters in Iraq opposing the U.S. presence there.
A statement issued by the rallies noted that the demonstrations were held to commemorate International Quds Day, which was declared by Imam Ruhollah Khomeini on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, describing the occasion as part of a struggle in Allah's path. The statement added that this year's commemoration comes at a sensitive and exceptional stage in the ongoing conflict with what it called global Zionism and its allies.
It reaffirmed a commitment to continue what it described as a struggle in Allah's path and to support Al-Aqsa Mosque, Palestine, and oppressed peoples, while calling on the peoples of the Muslim world to mark International Quds Day and assume their responsibilities, emphasizing a return to the Qur'an as a practical guide for confronting challenges and achieving victory.
