Sana'a: The joint team between the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption (SNACC) and the Ministry of Administration, Local and Rural Development convened for its second meeting to discuss preventive measures addressing dysfunctions in local authority units at central, governorate, and district levels.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was chaired by SNACC member Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Kameem and attended by team head Azal Hashem, along with deputy ministers Ammar Al-Harb and Jamal Al-Alawi. The focus was on reviewing SNACC's notes and recommendations on the Ministry's proposed executive matrix for corrective action.
Dr. Al-Kameem stressed the urgency of implementing the matrix feedback within a week. He called for immediate visits to governorates and districts as outlined in the matrix and highlighted the importance of achieving results by executing tasks promptly, reporting outcomes without delay, and addressing irregularities in line with the law.
Deputy Minister Al-Harb reiterated the Ministry's commitment to addressing long-standing structural issues and implementing reforms captured in the preventive matrix. He noted progress and institutional shifts already underway to tackle documented flaws.
The meeting included the directors of SNACC's Preventive Measures and Legislative/System Development Divisions, Abdulmalik Al-Jahmi and Khaled Al-Kuhlani, along with other joint team members from both institutions.
