Sana'a: The Supreme National Anti-Corruption Commission and the Ministry of Administration, Local and Rural Development have launched a joint team to implement preventive measures against irregularities in local authority units at central, province, and district levels. This collaboration marks a significant step in addressing corruption within various tiers of local governance.
According to Yemen News Agency, the inauguration of the joint team took place during a meeting chaired by a Commission member. The gathering was attended by ministry undersecretaries and the head of the Commission's Anti-Corruption Prevention and Control Department, emphasizing the high-level commitment to this initiative.
This effort is in line with the Anti-Corruption Law, the National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2022-2026, and government directives. During the meeting, participants reviewed a matrix of preventive measures and approved procedures. These procedures include the completion of a timed implementation plan by the Ministry to address existing imbalances, which is set to be discussed in the next meeting.
