Islamabad: The Planning and Budget Committee in Ibb Governorate, chaired by Governor Abdulwahid Salah, approved the executive plan projects for the governorate for the year 1448 AH, focusing on development priorities and addressing the needs of citizens across various districts.
According to Yemen News Agency, the committee, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the local authority in the governorate, Amin Al-Worafi, Assistant Commander of the Fourth Military Region, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Al-Khaled, and the governorate's mobilization official, Abdulftah Ghalab, reviewed a memorandum from the Ministries of Finance, Local Administration, and Rural Development. This memorandum outlined priorities and general guidelines for preparing the local authority's project plan for the years 2026-2027.
The meeting, which included heads of the services, social affairs, and technical committees in the local authority, along with directors of relevant executive offices, discussed the plan's contents in line with the guidance of revolutionary and political leadership and the Government of Change and Construction program. The aim is to direct resources toward priority projects and improve basic and development services.
Participants discussed a range of projects planned in sectors such as roads, health, water, education, agriculture, institutional and social development, and community initiatives. They emphasized prioritizing the most urgent projects within the executive plan of the governorate.
The committee reviewed the main and sub-sectors and the approved allocation ratios of local and shared resources across different sectors for the year 1448 AH, ensuring balanced implementation of development and service projects according to actual community needs.
The proposed projects across various sectors were approved, including those referred to in the certified minutes from the Acting Prime Minister within the executive plan. These are considered priority projects that will improve services and meet citizens' needs.
Additionally, the committee approved a project to provide equipment and machinery for the executive unit, enhancing performance efficiency and improving the implementation of projects and community initiatives in the governorate.
Governor Salah stressed the importance of adhering to higher directives and national priorities when preparing plans and projects. He emphasized working within a realistic development vision based on community needs and current requirements.
The Governor highlighted the need for projects based on field assessments and current situation indicators to ensure resources are directed toward impactful and sustainable projects. There is a focus on agricultural and development projects linked to improving local production and strengthening food security through a value-chain approach, contributing to rural development and improving the economic situation of farmers.
Governor Salah explained that the success of development plans requires the integration of efforts between the local authority, executive offices, and the community. Working in a spirit of responsibility and partnership is crucial to ensure efficient project implementation and achieve genuine, sustainable development that meets the aspirations of the people of the governorate.
