Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party Denounces Saudi Targeting of Yemeni Correctional Facility

General

Al-hazm: The Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party has issued a strong condemnation of the aggressive attack carried out by Saudi forces on the Central Correctional Facility in Al-Hazm District, Al-Jawf Governorate. This assault resulted in the deaths and injuries of 14 inmates, with the casualty figure expected to rise.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party's statement describes the attack as a sign of Saudi Arabia's military failures and the impact of retaliatory strikes by Yemeni forces on Saudi operations. The statement emphasizes the loss of Saudi Arabia's ability to differentiate between military and civilian targets, predicting a severe response from Yemen that would affect Saudi interests and installations.

The Party accused Saudi Arabia of violating international humanitarian law by targeting civilians, including vulnerable groups such as women, children, and the elderly, in various governorates. It asserted that the Saudi regime's actions, described as criminal, would remain accountable beyond statutes of limitations, highlighting Saudi interference in Yemen's internal affairs as a key grievance.

The Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party urged all Yemeni factions to unify and mobilize resources to resist the aggression against Yemen. It also advised individuals influenced by Saudi forces to reconsider their positions and align with national interests against what it claims is Saudi Arabia's destructive agenda for Yemen.
