Arhab District Launches Events to Celebrate Prophet Muhammad’s Birth Anniversary

Sana'a: Preparatory events and activities commemorating the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) for the year 1448 AH were officially launched on Tuesday in Arhab district of Sana'a governorate. Speaking at the launch, Director of Arhab District Khalid Al-Aqeeda highlighted the significance of commemorating this religious milestone, noting that it reinforces the deep historical connection between the Yemeni people and the Prophet.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Aqeeda called for early preparation and active community participation across all planned events to reflect the stature of the Prophet Muhammad in the hearts of believers. He urged both official entities and community leaders to fulfill their roles in organizing local activities. The launch event was attended by Province undersecretary Fadhl Al-Qasir, Director of Tribal Affairs in the governorate Waleed Qambour, and District Mobilization Official Saleem Qambour.

During the gathering, Zakat Awareness Official Ibrahim Hamid Al-Din stated that the Mawlid serves as an important spiritual occasion to deepen understanding of the Prophet's life (Seerah), promote loyalty to Islamic values, and draw lessons to face modern challenges. He encouraged joint efforts between official and popular bodies to decorate public spaces and host cultural, oratorical, and religious chanting (Nasheed) events.

For his part, Deputy Mobilization Official Kathir Al-Ubaidi noted the Prophet's historical role in unifying the nation and establishing a path for overcoming enemies.
