Sana'a: Residents of Bani Matar district in Sana'a governorate held on Saturday an armed gathering to condemn the desecration of the Holy Quran, express their support for Gaza, declare a general mobilization, and affirm their readiness for all options.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants in the gathering, which was attended by Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, Dhaifallah Rassam, and members of the House of Representatives, Yahya al-Matari, and the Shura Council, Muhammad Salman, expressed their anger and condemnation of the heinous crimes committed against the Holy Quran and Islamic holy sites, considering it a provocation to the feelings of Muslims worldwide. They reaffirmed their unwavering support for Gaza and Palestine and their commitment to defending Islamic holy sites.
A statement issued at the rally condemned the crime of desecrating the Holy Quran and Islamic sanctities by the enemies of God and their continued targeting of the Muslim nation and its faith-based identity. The statement held America, Britain, and the Zionist enemy fully responsible for these repeated offenses, which reflect their deep-seated hatred and blatant hostility towards Islam and Muslims.
The statement called upon the Muslim nation to mobilize and rise up in defense of the Book of God, expressing outrage and unequivocal rejection of this heinous crime targeting the most sacred symbols of Islam. It called for a serious and decisive international stance that criminalizes the desecration of these sanctities and punishes all those who commit such acts.
The statement also urged all free people not to remain silent or allow these offenses to pass under any deceptive guise, such as freedom of expression or any other false pretext, all of which crumble in the face of any criticism of the Zionist enemy in America and the infidel West.
The statement affirmed the continuation of the general mobilization with even greater momentum in preparation for the next round of conflict with the enemies, in support of the causes of the nation and its sacred sites, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.
The Director of the Directorate, Yahya Al-Qanous, members of the local council, the mobilization officer, Mutaa Al-Mutaa, directors of executive offices, and a number of sheikhs and social figures participated in the vigil.
