Sana'a: Asian stock markets closed with mixed performance on Monday, as trading began for the week.

According to Yemen News Agency, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index saw a slight increase of 0.26%, closing at 24,203.32 points. In contrast, China's CSI 300 Index remained stable at 4,017.67 points, showing no significant movement.

Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 faced a decline of 0.28%, ending the day at 39,459.62 points. Meanwhile, the broader TOPIX Index managed to hold steady at 2,822.81 points, indicating a lack of major shifts in the market.

In South Korea, the KOSPI experienced a gain of 0.83%, closing at 3,202.03 points. However, the KOSDAQ, a small-cap index, fell by 0.14%, ending at 799.37 points, reflecting a mixed performance within the country's stock exchanges.

Australia's S and P/ASX 200 dropped by 0.11%, settling at 8,570.4 points. This minor decline suggests a cautious mood among investors in the Australian market.

India's stock market also witnessed a downward trend, with the Nifty 50 declining by 0.53% and the Sensex falling by 0.46%, indicating a more significant loss compared to other Asian markets.
