Sana'a: The Attorney General Judge Abdulsalam Al-Houthi inspected today the progress of judicial work in the Appeal Prosecution of Ibb province and a number of its affiliated primary prosecutions. During the visit, he was accompanied by Judge Abdulraqib Isham, a member of the Inspection Authority at the Attorney General's Office.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Attorney General met with several key judicial figures, including the Head of the Appeal Prosecution Judge Abdulrahman Al-Nazili and the Head of the Public Funds Prosecution in the province, Judge Rabie Al-Harbi. Alongside them were members and agents of the Appeal Prosecution, and members of the Criminal Prosecution East Ibb, West Ibb, Funds Violations, Traffic, and Juvenile Prosecutions, who provided updates on incoming cases and their progress.
The Attorney General assessed the discipline within the offices of prosecution members, criminal clerkships, information centers, and various administrations. He scrutinized work mechanisms, task assignments, registration and recording procedures, data preservation, and both manual and electronic archiving of case files, while ensuring the security of seized items and official documents.
Judge Al-Houthi emphasized the need for expediting case resolutions, particularly those involving prisoners, and improving judicial procedures while maintaining confidentiality and secure access to data and seized items. He instructed prioritizing public funds cases and crimes related to aggression, stressing the importance of integrity and the oversight role of prosecution in prisons, ensuring legality in detentions, and facilitating conditional release for non-dangerous cases.
During his visit, the Attorney General also engaged with the Governor of the province, Abdulwahab Salah, the Head of the Appeal Court, Judge Sari Al-Ajili, the Deputy Director of Security, and directors of Criminal Investigation, Drug Control Administration, and the Central Correctional Facility. They discussed collaborative efforts in crime control, societal protection, and freedom safeguarding.
The Attorney General highlighted the critical role of security agencies in crime prevention and the necessity of their cooperation with public prosecution to ensure procedural integrity and prevent criminals from evading justice. He advocated for stronger collaboration between judiciary bodies and local authorities, particularly in protecting public funds and reinforcing the rule of law.
The importance of enhancing the work environment, meeting the needs of public prosecution, and improving coordination between judicial and prosecutorial authorities to hasten case resolution was also addressed. Governor Abdulwahab Salah expressed the local authority's readiness to support public prosecution, contributing to security, stability, rights protection, and fulfilling prosecution needs for an improved judicial work environment.
