Bani sa'd: An awareness campaign was launched today in the Wadi Ashq Honeybee Reserve in Bani Sa'd District, Al-Mahwit Governorate, coinciding with the start of the Sidr season.

According to Yemen News Agency, the campaign aims to highlight the quality of honey for which the reserve is famous and introduce its therapeutic benefits and unique natural characteristics, which contributes to encouraging investment in this product. The initiative also seeks to raise awareness about the importance of honeybee reserves in protecting environmental diversity and sustaining bee wealth. These reserves are natural environments for producing high-quality honey and play a role in preserving honey trees and developing rural communities associated with beekeeping.

During the campaign, the Director of Bani Sa'd District, Mutahar Al-Tawil, emphasized the importance of highlighting the stages of producing medicinal Sidr honey in the reserve, which requires special care for the bee environment to ensure the product's quality and distinction. He pointed out that the campaign aims to introduce visitors and interested individuals to bee care mechanisms and modern hive management methods. Efforts to develop beekeeping activity in the reserve and improve production levels are also being reviewed to enhance the presence of Sidr honey in local markets and attract merchants to buy it as a high-value medicinal product.

Al-Tawil noted that the campaign comes within the framework of supporting honeybee reserves and encouraging investment in them, as they are promising resources that contribute to supporting productive families and improving income opportunities for rural communities.
