Sana'a: Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water Adel Bader, along with Jawf governor Faisal Haidar, conducted an inspection of the damage inflicted on the solar-powered power plant in the governorate, following its targeting by the Zionist enemy last Wednesday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the inspection involved a detailed briefing from Ali al-Maqri, Director of Jawf electricity district, who outlined the complete destruction of the plant due to the direct targeting. The facility, which had been providing two megawatts of electricity to the residents of the governorate, was rendered completely inoperable.
During the visit, Deputy Minister Bader condemned the repeated targeting of civilian and service infrastructures by the Zionist enemy, highlighting the impact on power facilities across various governorates. He emphasized the civilian nature of the Jawf solar power plant, noting that it is protected under UN laws, yet was still targeted by the Israeli forces.
Bader further criticized the enemy for its actions against hospitals and residential neighborhoods in Gaza, accusing it of committing severe crimes against humanity, including genocide and starvation. He stated that the assault on Jawf's power plant was an attempt to deprive citizens of electricity services but assured that such actions would not deter Yemen's support for the Palestinian cause.
He reiterated Yemen's commitment, under the leadership of Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, to continue building and confronting the enemy, reinforcing their resolve through the slogan "One hand protects and one hand builds."
Governor Haidar echoed these sentiments, describing the attack on the power plant as a clear indication of the Israeli enemy's criminal intent and its disregard for international law. He affirmed that such aggression would not sway Yemenis from their religious, humanitarian, and moral support for Gaza and Palestine.
