Sana'a: Mahweet undersecretary Abdulsalam al-Dhamari on Saturday inaugurated the 68th free medical camp for eye care and surgery in Bani Saad district, organized by the Association for Health Care for Affected Communities on the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) birthday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the six-day camp is funded by the General Authority for Zakat in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the local office. The camp aims to examine over 1,500 patients and perform surgeries for cataracts, pterygium removal, and eyelid fatty cysts.
Officials emphasized that the camp reflects the values of compassion, social solidarity, and charitable giving promoted by the Prophet (PBUH). It provides free medical services to impoverished patients and highlights cooperation between Zakat institutions and health authorities.
