Sana'a: The Central Bank of Yemen branch, commercial banks, and exchange companies and establishments in the Ibb governorate organized a speech event on Saturday to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).

According to Yemen News Agency, Province Undersecretary Rakan Al-Naqeeb and Mobilization Official Nasr Al-Shahari attended the event, where Al-Shahari emphasized the importance of following the example and message of the Prophet Muhammad. He highlighted what he described as the Yemeni people's support for the oppressed and their defense of Islamic sanctities, particularly amid insults against the Holy Quran and the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip.

Al-Shahari stated that the celebrations marking the Prophet's birthday express joy at his birth and emphasized turning the occasion into an opportunity to raise awareness and emulate the Prophet's conduct in both words and deeds.

Director of the General Authority for Grievance Redress branch in the governorate, Yahya Al-Qasimi, noted the significance of the occasion for the Yemeni people and the Muslim nation. He called for a return to the prophetic path and adherence to the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. Al-Qasimi also condemned the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran by a U.S. Senate candidate, describing it as a hostile and provocative act against Muslims.

Director of the Central Bank of Yemen branch in Ibb, Humair Shuaib, described the occasion as an opportunity to strengthen faith-based identity and promote values of love, cooperation, and social solidarity. He highlighted the lessons from the Prophet's life, including his patience, steadfastness, and call to truth.

In a statement representing commercial banks and exchange companies, Wadie Al-Khatib reviewed aspects of the Prophet's life and highlighted the occasion as a chance to reinforce Islamic values and raise awareness of the importance of emulating his character and principles.

The event was also attended by directors of the Agricultural Cooperative Bank and Yemen Bank for Reconstruction and Development branches in Ibb, Abdullah Al-Asad and Abdullatif Al-Jaboubi, respectively, as well as the head of the Exchange Association branch Faisal Al-Khatib and several bank and exchange company representatives. It featured two poems and religious chants to mark the occasion.
