Bayda: Bayda governor Abdullah Idris chaired a significant meeting in Bayda to discuss the preparation of studies and designs for implementing rural road projects under the Ministry of Transport and Public Works' Rural Roads Development Program.
According to Yemen News Agency, Engineer Ali al-Dailami, head of the Ministry's engineering team, along with team member Engineer Ahmed al-Madani, reviewed a list of rural road projects. These projects include the completion of the Qa' al-Mudhaffar Asfal road (12 km) in the Rural Bayda district, and the Rada'a - Qifa - al-Qurayshiyah road (22 km). Additional discussions covered the al-Sarhan - al-Qair road (19 km) in the Shar'ia district, the Aqabat al-Riyashiyah - Damt road (25 km), the Al-Sawadiyah - Radman - Qaniyah road (17 km), and the Azza - al-Dhahaki - Madhouqin road (7 km) in Rural Al-Bayda.
The engineering team emphasized aligning priority road studies with donor standards following the finalization of the project list. Governor Idris highlighted the importance of rehabilitating and maintaining roads that connect districts, specifically linking Al-Bayda to Marib through the al-Sawadiyah - Radman - Qaniyah route.
Governor Idris affirmed that executing these projects adheres to directives from the Supreme Political Council. He stated that these efforts support ongoing developmental and service projects, with rural roads being among the top priorities of local authority plans to enhance development and public services.
