Bayda: The Local Council and Mobilization Office in al-Zahir district of Bayda governorate on Monday organized a commemorative event marking the first anniversary of the passing of Sheikh Hussein Ali al-Humaikani, Chief Sheikh of al-Nasifa.
According to Yemen News Agency, speakers at the event, including local officials, praised the late Sheikh's contributions to national service, conflict resolution, and social reconciliation. They noted that Al-Bayda and Yemen as a whole lost a prominent national figure with his passing.
On behalf of the family, Hamid al-Humaikani shared reflections on his father's significant role in the 14 October Revolution against British colonialism. He highlighted how Sheikh Hussein fought alongside Yemen's revolutionaries until the liberation of the South, leaving behind a legacy marked by sacrifice and dedication to service.
