Al-bayda: Training courses on beekeeping, honey production, and marketing concluded today in the districts of Mukayras, Dhi Na'im, Rada'man, and Al-Wahabiyyah in Al-Bayda Governorate. The courses were organized by the General Directorate of Animal Wealth and the Technical Committee at the Ministry of Agriculture, in coordination with the Yemeni Red Crescent Society and the Agriculture Sector in the governorate, with support from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
According to Yemen News Agency, over a period of six days, the courses trained 200 participants on modern scientific techniques for honey production, beekeeping, and bee care. At the closing ceremony, Engineer Mohammed Al-Haidari, head of the governorate's agriculture sector, explained that the training was part of the economic empowerment program aimed at developing local resources and achieving self-sufficiency.
He affirmed the ministry's commitment to implementing training and capacity-building programs for farmers to improve the efficiency and productivity of Yemeni beekeepers and enhance the quality of local honey. District directors Yasser Jahlan (Mukayras), Murad Al-Riyami (Dhi Na'im), Maher Al-Awadi (Rada'man), and Sadiq Al-Wahabi (Al-Wahabiyyah) urged participants to apply the knowledge gained from the training to improve beekeeping practices and share their experience with other farmers in the field.
They reaffirmed their readiness to support training and economic empowerment projects, especially those that meet the needs and aspirations of the local community.
